Lounging in the sun, swimming off the 5000 square foot redwood deck, boat dock or the floating swim raft are favorite summer activities. The hot spa, heated to over 100 degrees is great for relaxing after a day of hiking or skiing or watching the stars on a moon lit night. Viewing Sunsets, ice cicles, snow drifts, deck dining, dockside fishing, boating, sailing, deck barbeques, and even water vollyball are enjoyed by guests.Fishing is best from April through July, although guests celebrate catches throughout the year. Guests are welcome to use the rowboat for fishing, or a quiet ride along the shores of Donner Lake. Fall is a great time of year for fly fishing and photography. Historic Downtown Truckee is just 4 miles east. Golfers enjoy the dozen or so local courses.Snow skiing and riding are immediately available. From the deck one can see the Sugar Bowl and Northstar mountains. Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are a short 12 minute drive. Tahoe Donner, Donner Ski Ranch and Royal Gorge are right up the road.All units face the lake and are equipped with coffee makers and coffee, hair dryers, down comforters, gas fireplaces (except the Lakefront Bedroom and Studio), either balconies facing the lake or doors opening onto the main deck, use of gas barbeque grill, use of the rowboat, flat screen TVs, microwaves, refrigerators and access to the hot spa.Wireless internet connections are now available.
